Years ago, when we were looking for the right Euro-profile cylinder to carry for window and door manufacturers, our bar was high: quality that matched our European multi-point gears, Schlage C keyway for easy local servicing (as standard Euro keyways can’t be serviced in North America), and the colours, finishes, knob styles, and rotation options that door manufacturers' specs demand.
Finding a cylinder that meets two or three of those requirements is already not an easy task. But meeting all of them was a tall order. The answer turned out to be CES: a German lock manufacturer that's been around longer than Canada has been a country. Their Euro-profile cylinders are the only ones we've found that meet every requirement, and we've looked hard.
